TeslAR

Augmented-driving concepts for contextual navigation, charging, and control.

TeslAR preview

A long-running concept and prototype stream exploring how AR overlays can reduce driving friction and make EV interaction safer and more intuitive.

Overview

TeslAR is a long-running concept stream focused on reducing driving friction with spatial overlays that stay contextual, readable, and calm.

Problem framing

Modern vehicle systems expose large amounts of state, but critical actions still require frequent context switching between screens, controls, and environment awareness.

What was explored

AR Navigation:

Lane-level route guidance and confidence cues designed to stay legible without blocking road visibility.

Charging in real time:

Visualized charging flow, speed, and completion progress in a way that feels native to the charging moment.

Effortless unlocking:

Approach-based identity and key concepts that turn lock/unlock into a lightweight, personalized flow.

Interior controls:

Contextual overlays for controls and status, reducing the need to dig through dense menu structures.

Outcome

TeslAR became a reusable narrative and prototype base for multiple mobility concepts, including Follow the Yellow Brick Road and related AR driving interactions.
